A fairer future fit for the future: a new vision for adult social care and support
The Local Government Association (LGA) has just published 'A fairer future', which sets out policy proposals for a reformed system of adult social care and support.
In particular they call for:
- A minimum level of support for all - consisting of information, advice and advocacy service, benefits support, adaptations and equipment, and reablement and technology; and
- fairer access including simplified and reduced eligibility criteria, a single transferable assessment of needs and means and a national resource allocation system to act alongside local decision making.
